Oasis has a variety of activities going on in the surf factory. There is the production of brand new surfboards as well as the sale of all materials related to the manufacturing process: foam, resin, fiber glass fabric, etc. "We have worked very hard on developing a line of surfboards diverse enough to fit almost any surfer; from experienced to beginners, younger or older, male or female. We have been able to make each of these designs special, customizing them to suit the individual. We are very excited and confident with the results we have seen so far", says Roger Ramirez, owner and shaper of Oasis Surf Factory.

In the past two years, Oasis has distribute and sold many surfboards all over the country, not only to Mexican surfers, but also foreign visitors. Dedicated surfers usually bring their own surfboards from home. Most airlines accept surfboards as one of the two pieces of checked luggage. However, once in Mexico, the domestic airline which travels to Puerto Escondido charges extra for them. This is one of the main reasons why surfers nowadays prefer to buy a surfboard once they arrive to their final destination. We give them the opportunity to buy a custom made surfboard which attends to their needs for a reasonable price.

Oasis provides custom made boards as well as used boards at economic and competitive prices. "We specialize in shaping custom boards built to fit the individual." Says Roger Ramirez "the process of making a surf board entails taking into consideration the age, weight, and experience of the surfer; as well as the type of wave where he's going to use it ".

Shaping Room: The Factory also has some standard models specifically design for beginners or experience surfers, for small, big or shallow waves.
Clients may visit the factory and be part of the process of making their own surfboard. The building is divided into different areas: shaping room, sanding room, glassing room, painting room and a show room, for customers to see the product finished.

Roger Ramirez (is our local shaper). He is responsible for shaping, glassing and supervising the whole process. With more than 16 years of experience in the surfboard industry as well as being a well known surfer himself, Roger produces high quality surfboards.
